Starrett SB565Z Brass Drive Pin Punches Set
Our regular Starrett Drive Pin Punches are made of hardened, tempered steel to with stand heavy duty times is too hard and can damage softer materials. The Starrett B565 brass punch is ideal for these applications as they are much softer than the steel version. The brass is less able to stand up to years of hard use. Ideally, it is good to have sets of both types and use the brass punch only when there is the possibility of damage to the work piece.

Product Description
The Starrett SB565Z is an eight-piece brass drive pin punch set to drive pins into or out of a work piece. The set is in a fabric case, and includes pin punches with the following diameters: 1/16", 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", 3/16", 7/32", 1/4", and 5/16". Each pin punch is made from brass, for use with surfaces that could be damaged by harder steel punches. Pin punches are used to place or knock out loosened pins and rivets from workpieces, where they are frequently used to attach something to a rotating shaft. They have a cylindrical body to hold and drive the smaller diameter, flat-ended tip into the workpiece.
The L.S. Starrett Company manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology and testing equipment, and saw blade products. The company was founded in 1880 and is headquartered in Athol, MA.
